We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive General Accountant based in India to support our U.S. business operations within the Finance team. This role is ideal for someone with strong accounting fundamentals, excellent communication skills, and the flexibility to collaborate across time zones. Key Responsibilities: Inventory Month-End Close Reports: Prepare and reconcile inventory reports to ensure accurate month-end financials. Cost Roll-Up: Analyze and consolidate cost data to support pricing and profitability assessments. Bank Reconciliation: Perform timely and accurate reconciliation of bank statements. Cash Application: Apply incoming payments to customer accounts and resolve discrepancies. Invoice Processing (Accounts Payable): Manage vendor invoices, ensure timely payments, and maintain AP records. Collections from Customers (Accounts Receivable): Follow up on outstanding invoices and ensure timely collections. Required Skills & Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field. 3+ years of accounting experience, preferably with exposure to U.S. GAAP. Strong English communication skills – both written and verbal. Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel – including pivot tables, VLOOKUP, and data analysis. Flexible work hours to ensure effective collaboration with the U.S. team. Experience with accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, NetSuite, SAP). Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities. Preferred: Experience working with U.S.-based companies. Familiarity with inventory and cost accounting. Knowledge of international payment systems and reconciliation. Work Hours: Flexible, with overlap during U.S. business hours as needed.
