F&V Manager

About the Role

The F&V Manager will oversee the end-to-end operations of the Fruits & Vegetables category, ensuring consistent supply, high product quality, effective vendor management, and attractive in-store presentation. This role is crucial for driving category sales, reducing wastage, and enhancing customer satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities

• Procurement & Sourcing
• Identify, evaluate, and onboard vendors/farmers for regular supply.
• Negotiate prices, credit terms, and quality standards.
• Ensure cost-effective sourcing while maintaining margins.
• Quality & Inventory Management
• Monitor freshness, grading, and quality of all fruits & vegetables.
• Implement FIFO (First In, First Out) practices to reduce shrinkage and wastage.
• Maintain optimum stock levels to avoid understocking/overstocking.
• Store Operations & Display
• Ensure proper handling, storage, and hygiene of F&V sections.
• Implement attractive displays to maximize visibility and sales.
• Train store staff on handling, sorting, and merchandising of produce.
• Sales & Customer Experience
• Drive sales through promotions, offers, and cross-selling.
• Address customer feedback and ensure high satisfaction levels.
• Track category performance and take corrective actions.
• Data & Reporting
• Prepare daily/weekly MIS reports on sales, wastage, and margins.
• Analyze trends and recommend assortment planning.
• Monitor competitor pricing and market trends.

Qualifications & Skills

• Bachelor’s degree in Agriculture, Food Technology, Supply Chain, or related field.
• 4–7 years of experience in F&V retail operations, category management, or supply chain.
• Strong vendor management and negotiation skills.
• Knowledge of perishable inventory management & cold chain handling.
• Good analytical, leadership, and communication skills.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: ₹30,000.00 - ₹40,000.00 per month
