Role Overview

Design and build the next generation of Brightstone's data-driven products. Your job will be to help shape how data flows through our systems, how pipelines are designed, and how different technologies are integrated.

What We're Looking For

We are looking for a Full-Stack Engineer with strong Data Engineering skills. Your job will be to help design and build the next generation of Brightstone's data-driven products. This role is not just about coding — you will help shape how data flows through our systems, how pipelines are designed, and how different technologies are integrated. Your main focus will be data engineering and backend development. Experience with Azure Cloud, Python, SQL, and modern frontend frameworks is important. Knowledge of Generative AI tools such as Azure OpenAI is a big plus. You will work closely with leadership, designers, and engineers to turn ideas into real features. You will work across the entire stack, from data pipelines to APIs to UI components. The role offers full remote work, with occasional in-person meetings.

Key Responsibilities

• Design and build scalable data pipelines (ETL/ELT)
• Write clean, maintainable backend and frontend code
• Build and maintain APIs and data integration systems
• Build and deploy cloud-native solutions on Azure
• Add Generative AI features using Azure OpenAI
• Design efficient data models using SQL and NoSQL databases
• Ensure high standards for security, reliability, and scalability
• Work closely with other engineers and own features end-to-end

Required Competencies

• Strong Python and SQL skills; experience with ADF, Airflow, or similar
• Good understanding of ETL/ELT and data processing
• Experience with SQL and NoSQL databases
• Strong Azure experience (ADF, Synapse, Databricks, Functions, Storage, Private Endpoints)
• Experience building APIs (.NET, Python, or Node.js) with secure authentication
• Understanding of VNet integration and Private Endpoint configurations
• Basic understanding of frontend frameworks like React or Next.js

Key Objectives

• Design and build scalable data pipelines for financial analytics
• Integrate AI/ML capabilities using Azure OpenAI
• Create maintainable, well-tested data processing systems
• Ensure security, reliability, and scalability across all solutions

Key Deliverables

• Data Pipelines: Scalable ETL/ELT pipelines for data processing and integration within secure VNet
• Backend Services: APIs and data integration systems built with .NET, Python, or Node.js with Private Endpoint connectivity
• Cloud Infrastructure: Azure-based cloud-native solutions leveraging ADF, Synapse, Databricks, and Private Endpoints
• Data Models: Efficient database designs using SQL and NoSQL technologies with secure network isolation

Working Style

• Work across the entire stack from data pipelines to APIs to UI components
• Collaborate closely with leadership, designers, and engineers
• Own features end-to-end from concept to production
