Full Stack Developer (MERN)

About the Role

We are looking for a MERN Stack Developer to help build a modern, data-driven SaaS product from the ground up.

You will work across the full stack, owning both frontend and backend development, and taking responsibility for deploying, scaling, and maintaining production systems. This is an early-stage product role where your engineering decisions will directly shape the product architecture, performance, and reliability.

Key Responsibilities

Frontend

• Build and maintain the core web application using React or Next.js with a strong focus on performance, scalability, and maintainability.
• Develop interactive dashboards and analytics views for data-heavy workflows.
• Translate Figma designs into reusable, clean, and maintainable UI components.
• Manage state, routing, and performance optimization for complex applications.
• Ensure responsive design and cross-browser compatibility.

Backend

• Design, develop, and maintain RESTful APIs using Node.js and Express.
• Implement secure authentication and authorization using JWT and role-based access control.
• Design and optimize MongoDB schemas for performance and scalability.
• Handle background jobs, data processing, and API performance optimization.

Deployment & Infrastructure

• Deploy and manage applications in production environments.
• Configure and maintain CI/CD pipelines for reliable releases.
• Work with Docker and environment-based configurations.
• Monitor application performance, logs, and errors in production.
• Handle basic cloud infrastructure setup and scaling (AWS, GCP, Azure, or similar).

Collaboration & Architecture

• Work closely with product and design teams to define workflows and user experience.
• Participate in architecture and technology decisions.
• Write clean, well-documented, production-ready code.

Requirements

• 3+ years of experience as a MERN Stack Developer building production-grade applications.
• Strong experience with React.js or Next.js.
• Proficiency in JavaScript and TypeScript.
• Solid experience with Node.js, Express, and MongoDB.
• Experience building and consuming REST APIs.
• Hands-on experience deploying applications to cloud platforms.
• Experience with CI/CD pipelines and environment management.
• Familiarity with Docker and containerized deployments.
• Experience with state management tools such as Redux, Zustand, or similar.
• Experience with Tailwind CSS, Material UI, or similar UI libraries.
• Strong understanding of authentication, authorization, and API security.

Nice to Have

• Experience building SaaS, analytics, or reporting platforms.
• Experience with data visualization libraries such as Chart.js, Recharts, or D3.js.
• Exposure to AI-driven or data-heavy products.
• Experience in early-stage startups or fast-scaling environments.
