Job Description

Position Summary:

The Front Office OPD Manager – Operations is responsible for overseeing the day-to-day functioning of the Outpatient Department (OPD) and Front Office operations. The role ensures smooth patient flow, efficient service delivery, staff discipline, and high standards of patient satisfaction, while maintaining coordination between clinical and administrative departments.

Responsibilitites:

  • Supervise day-to-day OPD and front office activities, ensuring smooth registration, billing, appointment scheduling, and patient assistance.
  • Monitor patient waiting time, ensure smooth patient flow, and resolve bottlenecks in coordination with doctors and nursing staff.
  • Implement and monitor standard operating procedures (SOPs) for front office and OPD.
  • Ensure timely coordination between departments such as Pharmacy, Laboratory, Radiology, and Nursing for patient needs.
  • Manage OPD schedules, consultation room allocation, and crowd control during peak hours.
  • Ensure courteous and professional behavior by front office staff.
  • Monitor and address patient feedback, queries, and complaints promptly.
  • Conduct patient satisfaction surveys and take corrective actions based on results.
  • Maintain a welcoming and patient-friendly environment at the reception and OPD areas.
  • Conduct regular training on communication, customer service, and hospital protocols.
  • Evaluate staff performance and recommend improvements or disciplinary action when necessary.
  • Ensure accurate and timely entry of patient data, billing, and MIS reports.
  • Maintain records of daily OPD statistics, consultation counts, and revenue reports.
  • Prepare and submit daily/weekly/monthly operational reports to management.

Qualifications & Experience:

  • Qualification: Graduate in Hospital Management / Healthcare Administration / Business Administration or any other.
  • Experience: Minimum 5–8 years in hospital front office or OPD operations, with at least 2 years in a supervisory or managerial role.
  • Preferred Background: Experience in tertiary care or multispecialty hospital setup.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: ₹35,000.00 - ₹50,000.00 per month
