Staff nurses, also known as registered nurses (RNs), provide direct patient care, administer medications, monitor vital signs, and collaborate with other healthcare professionals to deliver comprehensive care plans. They also educate patients and their families about their conditions and treatment plans, and play a crucial role in maintaining a safe and comfortable environment. Implement care plans: Work with physicians and other healthcare professionals to develop and execute individualized care plans. Provide direct patient care: Offer support and assistance with activities of daily living, such as bathing, dressing, eating, and mobility. Administer medications and treatments: Administer medications and other therapies as prescribed, ensuring correct dosage and timing. Monitor vital signs: Regularly assess and document patient vitals, including temperature, blood pressure, pulse, and respiration. Report and document: Accurately record observations, medications administered, and any changes in patient condition, reporting abnormalities to the healthcare team.
