Position Overview

We are seeking an experienced and motivated Freight Broker based in India to support our U.S.-based operations. The ideal candidate will have strong knowledge of domestic U.S. freight markets, exceptional communication skills, and a proven track record of booking and managing freight shipments across various modes (particularly truckload and intermodal). This is a remote, full-time role that will work closely with our team in Houston and our carrier network across the United States.

Key Responsibilities

• Source, negotiate, and secure freight capacity with reliable carriers and owner-operators across North America

• Manage daily freight movements including drayage, transloading, and over-the-road transportation

• Monitor and track shipments to ensure timely pickup and delivery

• Build and maintain strong relationships with carriers, shippers, and internal stakeholders

• Use TMS (Transportation Management Systems) and other logistics software to dispatch and manage freight

• Provide timely updates to customers and proactively resolve issues during transit

• Analyze freight trends and rates to ensure profitable margins

• Maintain accurate and up-to-date documentation for all transactions

• Collaborate with warehousing and transloading teams to ensure end-to-end logistics efficiency

Qualifications

• Minimum 2-3 years of experience as a Freight Broker or Logistics Coordinator for U.S. freight

• Strong understanding of U.S. logistics, transportation regulations, and market dynamics

• Excellent negotiation and relationship management skills

• Proficient in logistics software such as TMS, DAT, Truckstop, MacroPoint, etc.

• Exceptional written and verbal English communication

• Ability to work U.S. Central Time hours (night shift in India)

• Self-motivated, proactive, and capable of working independently in a remote setting

• Bachelor's degree in logistics, supply chain, business, or a related field preferred

Work Hours

8:00 AM – 5:00 PM (Central Time Zone – U.S.)

Monday to Friday (Night shift in India time)
