Flexing It is a freelance consulting marketplace that connects freelancers and independent consultants with organisations seeking independent talent.

Flexing It has partnered with Our Client, an Indian multinational conglomerate is looking to engage with Consultant Design - Women's Western Wear.

Key Responsibilities:

• Responsible for delivering seasonal range development in line with the approved design brief, brand vision, and business objectives.
• Manage and design across all SF Jeans categories including woven, knit, bottoms, winterwear, and prints/graphics.
• Trend and forecast analysis, studying and understanding business and market context (in terms of offerings, pricing, positioning, communication) and competition brands, Concept/stories development considering label imagery, trends and desirability, range building ( fabric, color, styling), tech pack creation for sampling and bulk.
• Develop concepts and stories aligned with label imagery, consumer desirability, and emerging trends.
• Work closely with cross functional teams to ensure design concepts align with the overall product strategy.
• Stay updated on emerging trends, market movements, competitor activities, and consumer preferences.
• The candidate needs to establish seamless interface between Category & Design as well as Sourcing team to get best suitable merchandise for the brand.

Skills Required

• Strong conceptualization and creative design skills for women’s western wear
• Trend research, forecasting, and market/competition analysis skills
• Sound knowledge of fabrics, trims, washes, and garment construction
• Ability to work cross-functionally with category, sourcing, and production teams
• Good time management and multitasking abilities
• Strong understanding of target customer and market positioning
• Consultant must ideate new concepts and implement them in a cogs based range
• Consultant will be required to work closely with vendors and suppliers to ensure correct range development.
