Job Description

Role Overview: You will be joining The Finance Business & Technology (FBT) organization at bp, which is focused on modernizing and digitizing finance activities. Specifically, you will be a part of the Financial Planning and Analysis (FP&A) team, playing a crucial role in delivering financial insights and analysis to support business decisions. Your role will involve collaborating with onsite technical and finance leadership, developing financial products, managing planning and performance management work, coaching junior analysts, and working towards continuous improvement and operational excellence. Key Responsibilities: - Collaborate with onsite technical and finance leadership to understand the business context and develop insightful financial products for decision-making. - Manage planning and performance management work, including coaching less experienced analysts and effectively managing collaborator expectations. - Prepare and present financial management information to support business decisions and provide performance insights for improving profitability. - Perform economic analysis to evaluate the financial viability of projects or scenarios, providing insights on economic drivers and sources of value. - Promote the use of new and standardized systems, improve supply-related MI systems and processes, and drive automation for efficiency. - Work with peers in remote locations to establish trust, share context, and develop positive working culture for staff motivation and career development. - Drive standardization, simplification, and automation of financial products to improve efficiency in financial analysis and reporting. Qualifications Required: - Educational qualifications: Business/Finance or Engineering subject area Degree level or equivalent. - Preferred education/certifications: Masters Degree or post-graduate qualification in a finance subject area (e.g., MBA, CA, ICWA/Cost Accountants). - Minimum years of relevant experience: 15 years in financial reporting, budgeting, and forecasting in an Oil and Gas business or related industries. - Skills and Experiences: Extensive performance reporting experience, ability to develop and communicate financial management information, experience with financial systems such as SAP and Power BI, ability to manage relationships with stakeholders, and mentoring team members.
