Key Responsibilities: macOS App Development: Architect, build and ship high-quality Swift/SwiftUI or AppKit applications, publishable on the Mac App Store. Scalable Systems: Design end-to-end architectures (MVVM/Clean Architecture), backend integrations (Node.js/Python), CI/CD pipelines and automated deployment workflows. Performance & Reliability: Profile with Instruments, optimize CPU/GPU usage, manage memory, and build robust error-handling and telemetry. Testing & Quality: Own unit, UI and integration tests (XCTest, Combine/Cocoa testing), maintain ≥80% coverage, enforce code reviews and coding standards. Collaboration & Communication: Drive Agile ceremonies, maintain design docs and API specs, participate in sprint planning, PR reviews and cross-functional design discussions. Privacy & Security: Implement on-device data processing, Keychain/TCC entitlements, encryption and GDPR/CCPA compliance. Required Skills and Qualifications: Experience : 3+ years in software development with expertise in building desktop applications for MacOS. Frontend : Strong experience with Swift and AppKit/SwiftUI for MacOS development. Integrations : Experience integrating third party libraries and cloud APIs. Familiarity with cloud services like AWS, GCP, or Azure. Experience integrating AI/ML models into applications. Database : Proficiency in PostgreSQL, SQLite, or other relational databases. Platform Expertise : Demonstrated experience developing MacOS apps, leveraging native APIs and frameworks. Performance Optimization: Knowledge of GPU/CPU usage optimization and memory management. Data Privacy and Security : Familiarity with on-device processing, encryption, and GDPR/ CCPA compliance. Agile Processes : Strong understanding of software design patterns, CI/CD (e.g. GitHub Actions), git workflows and Agile methodologies. Preferred Qualifications: Hands-on with Vision , Core ML , CreateML or Metal Performance Shaders. Familiarity with subscription-based or in-app-purchase monetization models. Experience in enterprise-grade (SOC 2) or GDPR, CCPA, HIPAA-compliant software. Experience with subscription-based monetization models.
