Job Description

Food & Beverage team

Role & responsibilities

  • Greet guests warmly and ensure a pleasant dining experience.
  • Present menus, take accurate orders, and serve food and beverages as per hotel standards.
  • Set up tables with linen, cutlery, glasses, and ensure cleanliness and hygiene of the dining area.
  • Assist with buffet setup and replenishment during service hours.
  • Coordinate with kitchen and bar to ensure timely delivery of food and drinks.
  • Maintain knowledge of the menu, ingredients, and ongoing promotions.
  • Handle guest queries and complaints courteously and escalate to supervisors when necessary.
  • Process guest bills accurately through POS systems and handle payment transactions.
  • Comply with hotel safety, hygiene, and grooming standards.

  • Supervise daily operations of the restaurant, banquet, or room service outlet.
  • Train, mentor, and guide junior F&B staff and new joiners.
  • Ensure all service areas are well-organized and comply with service SOPs.
  • Monitor guest feedback, resolve complaints, and ensure high levels of guest satisfaction.
  • Handle team scheduling and staff deployment during peak hours and events.
  • Ensure accurate billing, check handovers, and cash handling as per hotel policy.
  • Coordinate with kitchen, housekeeping, and banquet teams for seamless operations.
  • Promote upselling of menu items, combos, and beverages to maximize revenue.
  • Maintain service quality reports, inventory logs, and assist in audits and inspections.

Preferred candidate profile

  • Minimum 10+2 education; Diploma or Degree in Hotel Management is preferred.
  • Prior experience in a hotel, restaurant, or F&B outlet will be an advantage.
  • Excellent communication skills in English and local language.
  • Positive attitude, team spirit, and passion for delivering exceptional service.
  • Flexibility to work in shifts, including weekends and public holidays.
  • Well-groomed appearance and adherence to hotel grooming standards.
  • For Executive level: Leadership, team-handling experience, and basic knowledge of inventory and POS systems are required.
