Role: Fleet Management Executive

Key Responsibilities:


1.

Fleet Operations Management

  • Monitor daily fleet movement, usage, and allocation.
  • Ensure all EVs are properly assigned, tracked, and returned on time.
  • Optimize fleet utilization to reduce idle time and increase revenue.
2.

Vehicle Maintenance & Servicing

  • Schedule and oversee regular maintenance, battery checks, and servicing.
  • Coordinate with service vendors for timely repairs and part replacements.
  • Maintain vehicle health records and service history digitally.
3.

Charging & Battery Management

  • Monitor charging schedules and ensure vehicles are adequately charged before dispatch.
  • Coordinate battery swaps (if applicable) or fast charging logistics.
  • Track battery health, performance, and warranties.
4.

Documentation & Compliance

  • Maintain proper registration, insurance, permits, and compliance documents.
  • Renew expiring documents proactively and maintain audit-ready files.
  • Ensure drivers/operators follow traffic, safety, and environmental guidelines.
5.

Vendor & Partner Coordination

  • Liaise with leasing agencies, service centers, insurance providers, and charging infrastructure partners.
  • Negotiate better rates and terms with service providers/vendors.
6.

Vehicle Tracking & Reporting

  • Use GPS, fleet management software, or IoT tools to monitor location, usage, and performance.
  • Generate and submit daily/weekly reports on vehicle utilization, downtime, and operational issues.
7.

Driver/Operator Management

  • Onboard, train, and assign drivers to EVs (if self-operated model).
  • Monitor driver behavior, fuel/electricity efficiency, and resolve disputes.
  • Ensure drivers follow SOPs and report issues promptly.
8.

Breakdown & Emergency Handling

  • Act as a first responder for vehicle breakdowns, accidents, or theft cases.
  • Coordinate towing, insurance claims, and incident reports.
9.

Customer Coordination (if applicable)

  • Ensure timely vehicle delivery/pick-up for customers.
  • Address and resolve complaints related to vehicle performance or cleanliness.
10.

Cost Optimization

  • Monitor operating expenses (maintenance, charging, etc.) and find ways to reduce cost-per-vehicle.
  • Track cost anomalies and propose solutions for cost-effective fleet scaling.
