Job Description

🔧 Fitter Roles and Responsibilities 1. Installation and Assembly Read and interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and specifications. Assemble mechanical parts and components as per design. Install machinery and equipment at the worksite. 2. Maintenance and Repairs Conduct routine maintenance of mechanical systems and equipment. Diagnose mechanical faults and carry out timely repairs. Replace damaged parts and worn-out tools using appropriate techniques. 3. Fabrication and Welding Cut, shape, and join metal parts using hand tools, machines, or welding. Fabricate custom mechanical parts when needed. 4. Alignment and Calibration Ensure proper alignment of machines and components. Calibrate equipment for optimal performance and accuracy. 5. Safety and Compliance Follow all safety protocols and wear personal protective equipment (PPE). Comply with company and industry safety standards. Maintain a clean and safe working environment. 6. Tool and Equipment Handling Use and maintain hand tools, power tools, and measuring instruments. Keep tools in good condition and report any defects. 7. Documentation and Reporting Maintain logs of maintenance activities, repairs, and part replacements. Report any major mechanical issues to supervisors.
