Job Description

Electrician Roles and Responsibilities  1. Electrical Installation Install wiring systems, electrical fixtures, control systems, and equipment. Read and interpret electrical drawings, blueprints, and circuit diagrams. Set up and connect power distribution systems and panels. 2. Maintenance and Trouble shooting Inspect, diagnose, and repair electrical faults in equipment and systems. Conduct routine maintenance to ensure safety and efficiency. Test electrical systems and continuity using multi meters and testing devices. 3. Upgrades and Modifications Upgrade outdated wiring or electrical components as per standards. Modify existing systems to accommodate new equipment or requirements. 4. Compliance and Safety Follow national and local electrical codes (e.g., IS codes in India). Ensure all work meets safety standards and regulations. Use personal protective equipment (PPE) and adhere to electrical safety practices. 5. Panel Work and Motor Connections Assemble and maintain electrical panels and switchboards. Connect and test motors, starters, relays, contactors, and circuit breakers. 6. Documentation and Reporting Maintain logs of repairs, inspections, and electrical work done. Report any major issues or required upgrades to the supervisor or manager.
