Job Description

Key Responsibilities: Receive milk from tankers and verify quantity and quality as per SOP. Collect milk samples for laboratory testing (e.g., fat, SNF, acidity, temperature). Unload milk safely into storage silos or process tanks. Operate pumps, valves, and control panels to transfer milk to different stages. Monitor and maintain temperature, flow rates, and hygiene during milk handling. CIP (Cleaning in Place) operations for tanks, pipelines, and equipment. Record daily receipts, test results, and operational logs. Coordinate with Quality Control and Production departments for milk release. Ensure traceability and documentation as per FSSAI / ISO / GMP guidelines. Report any abnormalities (e.g., off-smell, contamination, equipment malfunction) immediately. Follow safety, hygiene, and sanitation protocols strictly. Requirements: ITI / Diploma in Dairy Technology, Food Processing, or relevant trade. 2–4 years of experience in milk handling operations in a dairy or food industry. Knowledge of milk testing, quality parameters, and food safety standards. Familiarity with SS tanks, milk chillers, flow meters, and CIP systems. Basic computer literacy for data entry and reporting. Physically fit and comfortable working in cold storage/milk chilling environments. Preferred Qualifications: Experience with SCADA / PLC-controlled milk handling systems. Certification in FSSAI food safety, HACCP, or GMP. Understanding of pasteurization and homogenization processes. Working Conditions: Shift-based work, including weekends and holidays. Exposure to cold rooms and wet working conditions. Mandatory use of PPE (gloves, boots, aprons, caps, masks, etc.).
