To ensure smooth functioning of all mechanical equipment and machinery by carrying out preventive, corrective, and breakdown maintenance to minimize downtime and support continuous beverage production operations.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Maintenance ActivitiesPerform preventive, corrective, and breakdown maintenance on production and utility equipment.

Carry out mechanical fitting, alignment, and assembly/disassembly of plant machinery.

Replace defective parts such as bearings, seals, belts, shafts, and couplings.

Support maintenance of bottling, filling, packaging, and processing machines.

2. Equipment Installation & OverhaulingAssist in installation, testing, and commissioning of new machines and equipment.

Participate in overhauling and shutdown maintenance activities.

Follow standard maintenance procedures and engineering drawings accurately.

3. Tools & Spare Parts HandlingEnsure proper use, care, and maintenance of tools, tackles, and spares.

Maintain records of spares used and report shortages to the maintenance engineer.

Support inventory and spare management in coordination with the stores team.

4. Safety & ComplianceAdhere to all plant safety rules and use proper PPE during maintenance work.

Follow Lock-Out/Tag-Out (LOTO) and other safety procedures.

Maintain cleanliness and housekeeping in maintenance and workshop areas.

5. Coordination & Reporting

Coordinate with the production and electrical teams to resolve equipment issues.

Report daily maintenance activities, downtime, and spares usage to the supervisor.

Support continuous improvement and energy-saving initiatives.

Key Skills & Competencies:

Strong knowledge of mechanical systems, pumps, conveyors, and packaging lines.

Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and manuals.

Familiar with pneumatic and hydraulic systems.

Good troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.

Safety-conscious and detail-oriented.

Qualifications & Experience:Education: ITI / Diploma in Fitter / Mechanical Trade.

Experience: 2–6 years in mechanical maintenance within beverage, food, or FMCG manufacturing plants.

Added Advantage: Experience with high-speed bottling or packaging machines.

Work Environment:Plant-based role with shift duties.

Coordination required with Production, Electrical, and Utility teams.

Must be available during emergencies and shutdown maintenance.
