Financial Controller (High Growth Startup)

We are currently hiring a Financial Controller for a tech-based well established and well funded startup in Mumbai.

This role calls for a sharp financial mind with strong strategic and analytical capabilities. You’ll play a key role in driving the organization’s financial growth by developing robust financial strategies, ensuring effective internal controls, and aligning financial planning with business goals. The position also oversees audits, taxation, and statutory compliances.

The role requires the person to be able to do :

• Strategic planning and providing the financial grounding.
• Managing financial transactions, overseeing, and preparing income statements and preparing financial reports.
• Analysing financial data and monitoring internal controls.
• Prepare & Review of Audit Financial & Schedules as per IGAAP or Ind-AS.
• Resolve audit queries, follow up for pending information with Finance, Legal, Tax, Solutions, etc.
• Lead book closure for the company
• Developing plans for financial growth.
• Providing business finance support to the team.
• Strong stakeholder management from a finance perspective.
• Overseeing tax related matters.
• Monitoring & ensuring book-closure activities.
• Assist in streamlining and improving the payable process and to oversee the purchase orders, invoices and expenses, assist with cash management and bank reconciliation.

To fit the bill, you must have :

• CA degree with 12+ years of experience
• Must have worked in an FMCG followed by startup experience
• Strong book closure expertise
• Excellent knowledge of data analysis and forecasting methods.
• Strong Stakeholder management, leadership and organizational skills.
• An analytical mind, comfortable with numbers.
• Excellent communication and team management skills.
