Finance Controller

Job Overview

We are looking for a detail-oriented and strategic Finance Controller to oversee the company’s financial operations, accounting, controls, compliance, and reporting. This role plays a critical part in ensuring financial discipline, accuracy, and regulatory compliance while supporting business growth and leadership decision-making.

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee end-to-end accounting and financial reporting

• Ensure compliance with statutory, tax, and regulatory requirements

• Manage monthly, quarterly, and annual financial close processes

• Prepare and review financial statements, MIS, and management reports

• Implement and maintain financial controls and SOPs

• Manage audits (internal and external) and coordinate with auditors

• Oversee GST, TDS, income tax, and statutory filings

• Monitor cash flow, working capital, and budgets

• Support leadership with financial analysis and insights

• Supervise and mentor finance and accounts teams

Required Qualifications

• 8–15 years of experience in finance, accounting, or controllership roles

• Strong knowledge of accounting standards and statutory compliance

• Experience managing audits and regulatory reporting

• Proficiency in accounting systems and Excel

• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and attention to detail

• Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-accountability environment

Preferred Qualifications

• CA / CPA / equivalent professional qualification

• Experience in startups or high-growth companies

• Familiarity with ERP systems

• Exposure to fundraising support or board reporting

• Experience in media, gaming, or tech industries
