Role Overview

The Business Finance Analyst will partner closely with business, growth, and sales teams to drive financial planning, analysis, and decision-making. The role focuses on P&L ownership, budgeting, forecasting, and performance tracking to support Vedantu’s growth objectives.

Key Responsibilities

• Own and manage

  business/category P&L

  , including revenue, cost, and margin analysis
• Prepare

  monthly MIS, dashboards, and variance analysis

  vs budget/forecast
• Support

  annual budgeting, rolling forecasts, and re-forecasting

  exercises
• Work closely with

  Sales, Growth, and Strategy teams

  to evaluate business performance
• Analyze

  unit economics, CAC, LTV, contribution margins

  , and ROI for campaigns
• Track and control

  marketing, sales, and operational spends

• Identify

  cost-optimization and revenue-enhancement opportunities

• Assist leadership with

  financial insights, presentations, and decision support

• Ensure data accuracy and alignment with

  accounting and finance controls

Key Skills & Competencies

• Strong understanding of

  financial modeling, FP&A, and P&L management

• Hands-on experience with

  Excel / Google Sheets

  (advanced level)
• Working knowledge of

  SQL, Power BI, Tableau, or similar tools

  is a plus
• Ability to work in a

  fast-paced, high-growth environment

• Strong

  business acumen and stakeholder management

  skills
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities

Qualifications

• CA / MBA (Finance) / CFA (Level 1 or above) / Commerce graduate with relevant experience
• 2–5 years of experience in

  Business Finance / FP&A / Analytics

• Prior experience in

  Ed-tech, Consumer Internet, SaaS, or Startup environments

  preferred
