Your Future Role
- Deliver prompt and effective on-site breakdown and maintenance services for customers under Annual Maintenance Contracts (AMCs), ensuring minimal response time and maximum equipment uptime. The engineer shall be stationed at the customer site as per operational requirements.
- Serve as the primary service representative for key mining projects, ensuring smooth operation and maintenance of mobile mining equipment such as excavators, electric dump trucks, and draglines. Act as the main liaison between the customer and the company for all technical and service-related matters.
- Promote, plan, and execute the company’s service business portfolio, including service contracts, retrofits, spare parts supply, repairs, and upgrades associated with mobile mining drives, motors, and switchgear systems. Support in identifying potential service opportunities to enhance business growth.
- Continuously monitor open service calls and take proactive action on customer escalations, machine uptime concerns, and feedback. Coordinate effectively with internal teams to ensure timely resolution of issues.
- Provide comprehensive technical support for all maintenance activities including routine, preventive, periodic, breakdown, and shutdown maintenance, ensuring reliability and performance of equipment at site.
- Identify recurring issues, analyze root causes, and recommend technical solutions to improve system reliability, energy efficiency, and operational performance. Explore and propose new service business opportunities aligned with customer needs.
- Complete all internal service documentation promptly after each service activity to facilitate invoice generation, ticket closure, and service record updates. Ensure timely submission of detailed site reports and maintain accurate documentation for traceability.
- Actively support after-sales activities by maintaining strong customer relationships, understanding their ongoing needs, and identifying spare parts requirements. Provide feedback to internal teams to improve product and service.
Your Profile
- Bachelor’s degree in electrical or Electronics Engineering from a recognized institution. 8-10 years of experience in field service, commissioning, installation, or maintenance engineering.
- Hands-on experience with automation and drive systems including:
- Siemens Traction Drives and SIBAS Controllers
- Siemens Simatic S7-300/400 PLCs
- High Voltage & Low Voltage switchgears
- HMIs and SCADA systems (preferably WinCC)
- Exposure to control system integration and troubleshooting.
- Prior experience with Siemens systems and solutions will be considered a significant advantage.
