About Us

Step Up for India (SUFI) is a not-for-profit organization working to improve English learning outcomes for children in vernacular-medium government schools across India. Founded in 2013, SUFI designs and delivers structured, practical English programs that help children build foundational language skills, confidence, and independent learning abilities. Working closely with education departments, school leaders, and teachers, SUFI strengthens classroom practices and supports equitable learning opportunities for children from under-resourced communities. SUFI’s programs have reached lakhs of children across multiple states.

Role Overview

70–80 government schools in Raipur

Key Responsibilities

• Coordinate with education department officials and school principals for approvals and scheduling
• Conduct regular school visits to observe classes and provide constructive feedback to teachers
• Conduct baseline and endline assessments; manage data collection and data entry
• Document weekly progress, challenges, and field insights for internal reporting
• Manage program materials and track distribution across schools
• Support organization of teacher training sessions (online/offline) and maintain records
• Provide continuous mentoring and on-site support to teachers
• Handle basic accounts, expense tracking, and operational documentation
• Plan and prioritize tasks to ensure effective program delivery

Eligibility & Skills

• Graduate in any discipline (Education / Social Sciences preferred)
• Basic English communication skills (spoken and written)
• Strong coordination, communication, and relationship-building skills
• Experience in teacher support or training is an added advantage
• Comfortable using MS Office (Word, Excel) and digital documentation tools
• Good planning, reporting, and time-management skills
• Proactive, detail-oriented, and able to multitask independently
• 2–5 years of relevant work experience (NGO experience preferred)
• Willingness to travel extensively within
