The Role: SELCO Foundation is looking for a highly motivated individual who is passionate about working in the overall sustainable energy sector for last mile communities. The broader goal is to use decentralized renewable energy to facilitate livelihood opportunities for low-income communities through the integration of climate inclusive technologies into the livelihood sectors. The Senior Program Manager for O&M is responsible for supervising all the post- installation deliverables including operation and maintenance of the solar system and equipment, training for the end user stakeholders, annual maintenance by the vendors, budgeting for post installation operation and maintenance services, end user follow-up, and develop general plans to make sure solutions provided functioning well. Key responsibilities for the position: The O&M Manager will coordinate and implement O&M plans across the geographies specifically, North East India, Odisha and Karnataka and the main roles and responsibilities are: Managing end to end direction to the team for developing the O&M strategy, execution and monitoring of 50000+ livelihood interventions across geographies. Providing meaningful direction and necessary support to the team for developing strategy, operations in planning, execution and monitoring of O&M. Building a complete understanding of the livelihood sectors and interventions and mapping nodal points of required O&M to ensure successful post implementation and utilization of solar powered livelihood solutions. Coordinating of all post-installation operations and maintenance for the solar system and equipment installed at the intervention sites across different geographic locations. Coming up with innovative O&M models and modern systems that can become examples in the sector for O&M Tracking of all O&M efforts and providing good feedback for program design and better procurement practices at the Foundation Maintaining a database and tracking the O&M for all livelihood sites and Tracking and measuring productivity of the program and compare to the benchmarks Assisting the vendor/organization to develop good practices to resolve the solar system/ equipment issues without delay. Assisting the central team and the geography in compiling and documenting the operation and maintenance progress to be shared with various stakeholders. Preparing and managing budgets and cash flows for various O&M programs and ensuring timely submission of all the bills on the expenses related to the same. Effectively tracking, analyzing and evaluating the performance of the team and sharing reports on a weekly / monthly / quarterly basis, by capturing key risks, learnings and challenges. Updating the teams progress to the core team and supporting all documentation required for reporting to funders and stakeholders. Regularly organizing and facilitating training workshops for the team to develop their skills, building their capacity on an individual and team level. Ensuring organizational, operational and assessment processes and guidelines are adhered to and escalating in cases where required.
