Job Overview:

CAG Hotels Pvt. Ltd., a renowned name in the hospitality industry, is seeking a dynamic and experienced Head Chef/ Sr Sous Chef to join our CAG team. The ideal candidate should have proven experience in a similar role, with strong leadership and kitchen administration skills. This is a key position that involves taking culinary trials, managing kitchen operations, food cost control, procurement, and ensuring high standards in food quality and hygiene.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Control daily kitchen operations and take charge of the Team
  • Plan and execute menus with focus on quality, presentation, and consistency
  • Manage and control food costing, portion control, and wastage
  • Handle kitchen indenting, purchasing, and inventory management
  • Supervise and train kitchen staff, ensuring efficient manpower handling
  • Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations and maintain hygiene standards
  • Monitor kitchen equipment maintenance and coordinate with maintenance teams as needed
  • Participate in menu engineering and suggest cost-effective recipes
  • Maintain documentation for kitchen audits and operational reports
  • Take part in culinary trials for selection

Requirements:

  • Minimum 3–5 years of experience as a Sous Chef or Senior Sous Chef in a reputed hotel/restaurant
  • Strong knowledge of kitchen administration, food costing, indenting, and waste management
  • Excellent leadership and team management skills
  • Ability to work under pressure and adapt to a fast-paced environment
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills
  • Culinary certification or hospitality degree/diploma preferred
  • Should be ready to take a food trial as part of the selection process
