Tech in Mechanical Engineering Experience : 4 to 7 Years Salary Range : depending on experience and suitability Employment Type: Full-Time Skills Required: Project Planning & Management Estimation & Costing Technical Knowledge - Strong understanding of engineering drawings, specifications, and construction methods Negotiation & Vendor Coordination Compliance & Documentation Time Management & Prioritization Job Description: Should have sound knowledge of Costing / Estimation preparation for Projects deliverable / manufacturing items based on provided drawings, specification, QAP etc. with Kg / Set basis. Good understanding of Engineering standards, engineering drawings, Quality requirements, Aesthetic requirements, packings requirement, Logistics-Transport requirement with standard cost is a must. Good sound knowledge of processes like castings, forging, machining, ENP process, hard-chrome plating, Nitriding, Hardening, case hardening, pickling & passivation, protection coating, blasting and painting, balancing etc. is needed. Should possess knowledge of European / Indian standards related to material grades & dimension. Stainless steel, CS material, Exotic material, cast alloys, Hastelloy, heat resistant steel material, PP, PPH costing knowledge is required. Machining rates (VMC, Lathe, Foor Boring machine, CNC Machines etc) , manufacturing rates, labor costs, SB & painting costing, assembly work, NDT process & costs, stress releasing (Thermal / Vibratory) process knowledge in possession is a must. Standard rates per Kg / Meter basis for raw material, standard fittings, piping, flanges, gaskets, coupling, flange coupling, hoses, hose fittings, elbows, tees, plates, standard section like I-beams, ISMC, ISA knowledge is a must. Raw material laser cutting, grinding, welding (Straight run / Inch -Dia) processes, machining times, assembly time should be known for estimating rates. Minimum 5 to 10 years of experience in estimation, costing, standardizing costing process is a must. Knowledge of standard BO items like valves, pressure gauges, pumps, compensators, Gaskets, Fasteners, Electric panels, Gear motors, couplings will be added advantage. Proficiency in MS Excel, SAP, MS PowerPoint, MS project is a requirement of job. Proper reporting through laptop using MS teams, Outlook is a requirement of the job. It is expected to provide efficient coordination, follow-ups with suppliers & inter-department people to provide costing independently to the sales team within agreed times.
