ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Operations management:

  Plan and supervise daily transportation, schedule routes, and coordinate with drivers and warehouse staff.

• Fleet and staff management:

  Assign tasks to drivers, manage vehicle allocation, and ensure staff compliance with grooming and safety standards.

• Logistics and tracking:

  Track shipments, ensure proper storage and distribution, and prepare necessary documentation like shipping documents and reports.

• Compliance and safety:

  Ensure all transportation activities comply with safety standards and government regulations. This includes inspecting vehicles, conducting safety audits, and managing the maintenance and repair of vehicles.

• Administrative duties:

  Prepare and maintain records, create daily, weekly, or monthly reports, and manage administrative tasks related to transport.

• Coordination:

  Act as a point of contact for employees, vendors, and other departments, handling queries and resolving issues.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

Regular eye-hand coordination and manual dexterity is required to operate office equipment. The ability to perform work at a computer terminal for 6-8 hours a day and function in an environment with constant interruptions is required. At times, Team Members are subject to sitting for prolonged periods. Infrequently, Team Member must be able to lift and move material weighing up to 20 lbs. Team Member may experience elevated levels of stress during periods of increased activity and with work entailing multiple deadlines.
