Job Description: Production In-Charge – Press Shop (Stamping)Position Title: Production In-Charge – Press Shop Department: Manufacturing / Production Location: [Insert Location] Reporting To: Production Manager / Plant Head Purpose of the Job:To lead day-to-day production operations on the shop floor with a strong focus on safety, quality, cost-efficiency, and on-time delivery. Ensure optimal manpower deployment, effective shop floor management, and cross-functional collaboration to consistently meet operational KPIs. Leverage Lean Manufacturing tools, SAP PP systems, and technical expertise in stamping processes to drive continuous improvement, problem-solving, and workforce development in a structured, team-oriented environment. Desired Candidate Profile:Experience: Minimum 6+ years of hands-on experience in Press Shop / Stamping operations Strong working knowledge of stamping processes and parts Proficient in using SAP – PP module Sound understanding of Lean Manufacturing principles Proven leadership skills in managing shop floor teams Key Responsibilities:Lead manpower handling and deployment to ensure optimal productivity Conduct daily Shop Floor Management (SFM) meetings and reviews Accountable for Safety, Quality, Cost, and Delivery (SQCD) performance metrics Ensure production output meets quality standards and production norms Apply effective problem-solving and decision-making techniques Utilize and maintain SAP PP module for production planning and reporting Coordinate with internal and external stakeholders to meet daily KPIs Apply knowledge of PTR / PPAP for production validation and approvals Facilitate skill development and deployment of team members Implement and drive Lean Tools: VSA, VSM, Kanban, OEE, SMED, TPM, 5S+2, PDCA, Takt Time Maintain discipline and teamwork on the shop floor Key Skills & Competencies:Strong technical knowledge in Press Shop / Stamping operations Leadership and team-building skills Proficient in Lean Manufacturing & Continuous Improvement methodologies ERP expertise, preferably SAP PP Excellent communication, coordination, and analytical skills Commitment to safety, quality, and productivity
