Job Description

An ERP Coordinator manages and maintains an organization's Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) system by coordinating daily operations, providing user support, and acting as a liaison between departments and the ERP vendor. Key responsibilities include troubleshooting system issues, training staff, ensuring data accuracy, and supporting ERP implementations and upgrades. This role requires strong technical knowledge of the specific ERP system and excellent communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills.


Key responsibilities


  • System management:

    Oversee daily ERP system operations, including monitoring and maintaining master files and ensuring data accuracy across departments.
  • User support and training:

    Provide first-level support for user issues, train staff on ERP functionalities, and assist with user access and permissions.
  • Project coordination:

    Coordinate ERP implementation and upgrade activities, support project managers, track milestones, and facilitate communication between stakeholders.
  • Liaison and communication:

    Serve as the bridge between various departments (e.g., Academics, examination, procurement, finance) and the ERP vendor or IT team to ensure needs are met and issues are resolved.
  • Documentation and reporting:

    Generate reports and dashboards, document system processes, and help with gathering requirements and creating functional documentation.
  • Troubleshooting:

    Troubleshoot and resolve system issues and ensure the underlying technical infrastructure is functioning correctly.


Required skills and qualifications


Technical skills:

  • Proficiency with the specific ERP system in use (e.g., SAP, Oracle, Microsoft Dynamics).
  • Strong analytical skills and problem-solving abilities.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel for data handling and reporting.
  • Understanding of core business workflows (e.g., Student Life Cycle management, purchase, finance).


Soft skills:

  • Strong communication and coordination skills.
  • Attention to detail.
  • Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team.
  • Project management skills.


Typical educational background

  • Experience in a relevant field or role, such as IT, business analysis, or a specific department that uses the ERP system, is required.
  • Experience in managing ERP at Student life cycle management.
