Engineering Manager

to lead and grow our engineering teams for StreetLight Insight SaaS products. This role is ideal for a technical leader who thrives in a fast-paced environment and is passionate about mentoring teams, driving product excellence and delivering scalable, high-performance software solutions.

Key Responsibilities

Lead and mentor a growing team of software engineers working on StreetLight InSight products.
Collaborate cross functionally with Product, Data Science, UX and DevOps teams to define and deliver product features.
Provide technical leadership and drive architectural decisions to ensure code quality, performance, and scalability.
Strong backend development experience including proficiency in SQL.
Author and review technical designs, conduct thorough code reviews to uphold engineering excellence.
Foster the culture of Kaizen through mentoring, process optimization and knowledge sharing.
Lead sprint planning, execution, and release cycles to ensure timely and high-quality feature delivery
Proactively manage production health by addressing issues swiftly and implementing preventive measures for operational excellence.
Support the professional growth and performance development of team members through regular feedback and career guidance.

Here's what you'll need

B.Tech /M.Tech in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field from a top-tier institution.
12+ years of experience in software development with at least 3 years in a leadership or management role.
Proven experience managing and scaling engineering teams in a SaaS environment.
Strong technical background in back-end development, preferably with Python (or Java/ Go/ C++ ).
Deep understanding of cloud platforms (AWS/Google Cloud/Azure) and scalable system design.
Excellent communication, collaboration and organizational skills.
Demonstrated ability to mentor engineers and foster a high-performing team culture.
