Role Overview
We are looking for a experienced
Engineering Manager
who not only builds performant, scalable applications but also
embraces AI as a development multiplier
. Your core job will be building and owning web applications end-to-end, but we expect you to use tools like
GitHub Copilot, Cursor, ChatGPT, or equivalent
to write, debug, test, and document faster and better.

The Engineering Manager will lead a team of engineers, driving the design, development, and deployment of scalable backend systems and intuitive frontend interfaces. The ideal candidate will also be experienced in cloud-native architecture, particularly AWS.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead, mentor, and manage a team of backend and frontend engineers, fostering a culture of technical excellence and innovation.
- Oversee the architecture, design, and implementation of scalable backend services using Node.js and Python.
- Ensure seamless integration between frontend (React.js) and backend systems, focusing on performance and security.
- Design and maintain robust database systems using MongoDB, PostgreSQL, and other relevant technologies.
- Implement and manage cloud infrastructure on AWS, utilizing services like Lambda, S3, EC2, RDS, and API Gateway.
- Develop and enforce best practices for coding, security, testing, and deployment across all projects.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams including product, design, and DevOps to deliver high-impact solutions.
- Conduct code reviews and provide constructive feedback to ensure code quality and scalability.
- Monitor system performance and resolve technical issues proactively to maintain high availability and reliability.
- Stay updated with emerging technologies and industry trends to continuously enhance Fynd’s engineering capabilities.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
- 10+ years of software development experience, with at least 3 years in a leadership/management role.
- Proficiency in Node.js, Python, and React.js.
- Strong experience with MongoDB, PostgreSQL, and data modeling.
- Solid understanding of cloud-native architectures, microservices, and serverless computing on AWS.
- Experience with CI/CD pipelines, Docker, and Kubernetes.
- Excellent problem-solving and decision-making skills.
- Strong communication and leadership abilities.
- Proven experience in managing high-performing engineering teams in a fast-paced environment.
