Role Overview:

Key Responsibilities:


Team & Leadership


  • Lead and manage a cross-functional electronics team including hardware engineers, PCB designers, testers, and project managers.
  • Take ownership of team development — recruiting, mentoring, and retaining high-performing engineering talent.
  • Establish strong engineering discipline through structured reviews, milestone tracking, and technical guidance.
  • Drive a culture of accountability, speed, and collaboration across the team.


Product Development & Execution


  • Oversee end-to-end electronics development for products involving PCBAs, modules, flex circuits, sensors, and power systems.
  • Track execution across EVT, DVT, and PVT stages, ensuring timely closure of deliverables and issue resolution.
  • Conduct technical reviews and guide architecture decisions with a focus on modularity, manufacturability, and cost.
  • Manage engineering schedules, budgets, and risk plans in alignment with business and product goals.


Vendor & Program Management


  • Coordinate with global EMS/ODM partners and component suppliers for timely delivery and quality adherence.
  • Integrate external development efforts into internal project schedules and ensure alignment on specifications.
  • Evaluate and manage supplier capabilities for scaling up to production volumes.
  • Collaborate with sourcing and supply chain teams on BOM optimization, sourcing alternatives, and compliance.


Techno-Commercial Ownership


  • Act as a bridge between engineering execution and business priorities.
  • Participate in trade-off discussions balancing cost, quality, performance, and timelines.
  • Collaborate with product and marketing teams to validate concepts and prototypes.
  • Support documentation, certification, and shipment readiness for global markets.


Required Experience & Skills:


  • 8–15 years of experience in electronics hardware development with at least 3–5 years in a leadership or managerial role.
  • Proven track record of shipping

    consumer-facing electronics products in significant volumes.

  • Strong understanding of PCBA, flex circuits, embedded electronics, sensors, and wireless technologies (BLE, Wi-Fi, etc.).
  • Experience managing the full lifecycle of hardware programs — from design through mass production.
  • Ability to manage multidisciplinary teams and global supplier/ODM engagements.
  • Strong project management and cross-functional collaboration skills.
  • Familiarity with DFM, cost engineering, and regulatory/compliance frameworks.


Education:


  • B.E. / B.Tech / M.Tech in Electronics Engineering or equivalent
