Engineering Manager


Key Responsibilities

Team Leadership & Development

  • Develop, manage, and retain a team of highly inquisitive and capable engineers.
  • Clarify expectations, delegate effectively, and empower team members to make decisions.
  • Create opportunities for skill development and career growth.
  • Serve as a role model for performance, behavior, and inclusive leadership.
  • Foster a culture of trust, collaboration, and psychological safety.

Customer-Centric Execution

  • Meet regularly with internal and external customers to understand their needs.
  • Communicate the importance of customer expectations and design solutions with empathy.
  • Follow through on solving customer problems and act on feedback to improve satisfaction.

Technical Oversight & Delivery

  • Oversee the design, development, and implementation of multiple engineering projects.
  • Collaborate with architects, product managers, and stakeholders to align on technical direction and product vision.
  • Ensure successful incremental product releases while managing deadlines and optimizing investments.
  • Assure quality through effective management of processes, people, and resources.
  • Identify and mitigate engineering risks and ensure adherence to best practices and documentation standards.
  • Act as a hybrid individual contributor and manager - Contribute to hands-on development, including writing and shipping production-quality code to support team velocity and unblock progress.
  • Promote and enforce modern DevOps practices, including CI/CD pipelines using tools like Jenkins and Bitbucket.

Required Qualifications


  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science or a related field.
  • 12+ years of experience in software engineering, including:
  • Demonstrated ability to lead teams while actively contributing to codebases.
  • Programming in

    . Experience with Angular is good to have.
  • Experience with cloud -

  • Strong experience in

    development, including writing and maintaining

    Swagger/OpenAPI

    specifications.
  • Application development using

    IntelliJ

  • Hands-on experience with

    Jenkins, Bitbucket

    , and other DevOps / CICD tools.

  • Event-driven architecture using

    Kafka

    and event sourcing patterns.
  • Familiarity with design patterns such as
