About The Role

We are seeking a strategic and hands-on Head of Engineering to lead our high-performing engineering team. The ideal candidate is a senior technology leader with deep expertise in real-time systems, distributed architecture, and time-series data management, using tools like Kafka, Redis, InfluxDB, and Python. You will be responsible for scaling our engineering processes, driving architectural decisions, and mentoring a team of skilled developers.

Key Responsibilities

Lead and grow a team of engineers across multiple products and projects.
Architect and optimize real-time data pipelines using Apache Kafka and Redis.
Oversee development and integration of time-series databases (InfluxDB/others) for high-volume data capture.
Guide best practices for Python development, testing, deployment, and maintenance.
Own end-to-end delivery of software products with high performance, reliability, and scalability.
Collaborate with product and data teams to define roadmaps, priorities, and success metrics.
Ensure quality engineering standards, code reviews, and DevOps practices.
Drive innovation and evaluate new tools, frameworks, and patterns.
Mentor and coach team members for career development and technical growth.

Key Requirements

10+ years of engineering experience, with 3+ years in a leadership role.
Proven track record of building and scaling engineering teams.
Strong hands-on experience with:
Apache Kafka (data pipelines, stream processing)
Redis (caching, pub/sub, distributed locks)
InfluxDB or other time-series databases
Python (advanced proficiency required)
Deep understanding of distributed systems and microservices architecture.
Experience with CI/CD, Docker, Kubernetes, and cloud platforms (AWS/GCP/Azure).
Excellent leadership, communication, and decision-making skills.
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
