30 years and above (preferred)

Industry Preference:

Toys / Automobile / Plastics / Engineering / FMCG

Job Summary:

We are looking for a technically strong and dynamic Engineer – Vendor Development to join our team in Chennai. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of procurement, vendor management, and supply chain processes, with excellent communication and coordination skills.

Key Responsibilities:

• Identify and onboard new vendors to support business growth and reduce costs
• Audit vendors for capability, safety, statutory compliance, and process stability
• Liaise with logistics partners for the safe and timely delivery of materials
• Coordinate with Production, Quality, and Technical departments to align on material requirements
• Negotiate pricing and terms with vendors to ensure the best value
• Maintain documentation and ensure compliance with procurement policies

Skills Required:

• Excellent communication (written and oral) in English
• Strong in planning, negotiation, and coordination
• High attention to detail and learning orientation
• Organizational and time management skills
• Business acumen and understanding of supply chain dynamics

Language:

• Fluent in English (Required)
