Engineer - Vendor Development

In this role, you will be responsible for the identification, selection, and development of new vendors. You will prioritize preferred suppliers based on screening criteria and coordinate between designs, production, and suppliers for New Product Development (NPD). Your role will also involve planning and procurement of direct and indirect materials to meet project targets. Developing and maintaining strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders will be crucial to ensure optimal performance. Effective communication throughout the procurement process and direct interaction with customers and suppliers" management will also be part of your responsibilities. Key Responsibilities: - Identification, selection, and development of new vendors - Prioritizing preferred suppliers based on screening - Coordinating between designs, production, and suppliers for NPD - Planning and procurement of direct and indirect materials - Developing and maintaining strong relationships with stakeholders - Communicating efficiently throughout procurement process and with customers/suppliers management Qualifications Required: - 5-7 years of experience in Vendor Development - Experience in Sourcing, Engineering, Quality, Manufacturing, and program management - Experience in developing and implementing vendor qualification - Knowledge of quality and business systems - Understanding and interpretation of engineering drawings - Understanding of manufacturing processes - Ability to work in a diverse and dynamic environment - Good communication and interpersonal skills - Strong negotiation and influential skills The company offers an attractive remuneration package at par with the market standards.
