Engineer - Vendor Development

Role Overview: As a Vendor Development Manager, your main responsibility will be to identify, select, and develop new vendors. You will prioritize preferred suppliers based on screening and coordinate between designs, production, and suppliers for New Product Development (NPD). Your role will involve planning and procuring direct and indirect materials to meet project targets. Additionally, you will need to develop and maintain strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders to ensure optimal performance. Efficient communication throughout procurement processes and direct interaction with customers and suppliers management will also be crucial. Key Responsibilities: - Identify, select, and develop new vendors - Prioritize preferred suppliers based on screening - Coordinate between designs, production, and suppliers for New Product Development (NPD) - Plan and procure direct and indirect materials to meet project targets - Develop and maintain strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders - Communicate efficiently throughout procurement processes and directly with customers/suppliers management Qualifications Required: - 5-7 years of experience in Vendor Development - Experience in Sourcing, Engineering, Quality, Manufacturing, and program management - Experience in developing and implementing vendor qualification - Knowledge of quality and business systems - Understanding and interpretation of engineering drawings - Understanding of manufacturing processes - Ability to work in a diverse and dynamic environment - Good communication and interpersonal skills - Strong negotiation and influential skills Note: The company offers an attractive remuneration package at par with the market standards.
