Job Title: Construction Electrician – LV Trainer Department: Training & Development / Construction Skills Educational Qualification: M.Tech / B.Tech (Electrical / Civil – as applicable), or Diploma in Civil / Electrical, or ITI Certificate in relevant Electrical trade, or General BA / BSc (with relevant electrical experience) Job Summary: The Construction Electrician – LV Trainer is responsible for training candidates in low-voltage electrical works used in construction projects. The role includes delivering theoretical knowledge and hands-on practical training in accordance with industry standards, safety norms, and approved curriculum. Key Roles & Responsibilities: Training & Instruction Conduct classroom and practical training for Low Voltage (LV) electrical systems. Train candidates in internal wiring, lighting systems, switches, sockets, and distribution boards. Demonstrate cable laying, termination, earthing, and grounding practices. Technical Knowledge Explain LV electrical drawings, symbols, and layouts. Teach use of electrical tools, testers, and measuring instruments. Train on fault identification, troubleshooting, and basic maintenance. Safety & Compliance Instruct trainees on electrical safety standards, PPE usage, and site safety norms. Ensure compliance with construction and electrical safety regulations during training. Assessment & Documentation Conduct theory and practical assessments of trainees. Maintain attendance records, assessment sheets, and training reports. Coordination & Support Coordinate with center management and assessment agencies. Ensure training delivery as per approved curriculum and timelines. Assist in placement support and industry interaction, where required. Required Skills & Competencies: Strong knowledge of Low Voltage electrical systems Practical experience in construction electrical works Good communication and teaching skills Ability to handle practical demonstrations and lab sessions Basic computer knowledge for reporting and documentation Experience: 1–3 years of experience in construction electrical work or electrical training (preferred) Work Location: Construction Skill Development/Training Centre
