Neysa Overwatch, and Neysa Aegis, we empower enterprises, research institutions, and academia to

accelerate AI innovation—from ideation to deployment.

We are now looking to expand our footprint across India’s academic and research ecosystem, by

hiring a seasoned sales strategic individual contributor who understands how to engage and partner

with educational and research institutions to drive the adoption of cutting-edge Gen AI infrastructure

and platforms.

Academic, Research &

North East India

universities, colleges, research institutes, and government-funded labs

education and research as a whole.

Key Responsibilities:

Sales Strategy & Execution:

o Develop and execute a regional sales strategy for academic and research accounts.

o Identify, prospect, and engage new customers in the region.

o Meet or exceed sales targets and KPIs.

Account Management:

o Maintain and grow relationships with key decision-makers (professors, research

heads, purchase officers).

o Provide product demonstrations, technical presentations, and training sessions.

Territory Development:

o Map the education and research ecosystem in North and East.

o Build a strong pipeline through field visits, workshops, and participation in academic

events.

Cross-Functional Collaboration:

o Work closely with product specialists, application scientists, and marketing teams.

o Support quotations, and post-sales activities.

Customer Insights & Reporting:

o Collect market intelligence and customer feedback to refine offerings.

Qualifications & Experience

• Min 10 plus years of experience

EdTech sales to higher education

• SaaS or software platform sales in the education sector

academic decision-makers

Heads, Faculty, and Procurement Team

• Government Research Labs (CSIR, ICMR, ICAR, IITs, NITs, etc.)

• Universities & Technical Colleges

• EdTech or SaaS solutions for academic customers

• Lab equipment or scientific publishing houses (Springer, Elsevier, etc.)

Key Skills:

• Consultative selling and solution-based sales

• Building long-term academic partnerships

• Dealing with professors, purchase departments, and institutional heads

• Pipeline development and lead qualification

• Strong intent to work in this space

• interpersonal and communication skills (written and verbal).

• Technical sales aptitude with the ability to understand and explain complex products.

• Account planning, negotiation, and closing skills.

• High level of self-motivation and ability to work independently.

• Proficiency in CRM tools and MS Office.

Preferred Skills

Gen AI

• Familiarity with academic grant systems, innovation cells, and industry-academia

collaboration programs.

Regional Knowledge:

North East India

• Existing contacts or network in education/research sectors

• Knowledge of local academic institutions and government research setups

• Understanding of regional languages or cultural nuances
