We are seeking a commercially driven and strategic professional to lead both ecommerce and modern trade channels for our cosmetics business. This hybrid role is ideal for someone with experience in managing digital platforms and organized retail formats. The ideal candidate will be responsible for driving revenue growth, maximizing visibility, and ensuring seamless execution across online and offline retail environments.
The ideal candidate has a deep understanding of the FMCG industry’s dynamics, fast product turnover, and shopper behaviour across digital retail and DTC (Direct to Consumer) channels.
• Develop and implement unified sales and ecommerce strategies aligned with overall business goals.
• Manage key modern trade accounts (e.g., Reliance) and online marketplaces (e.g., Amazon, Nykaa).
• Lead joint business plans (JBP) with key partners, including sales targets, promotions, and activations.
• Negotiate commercial terms, listings, margins, and trade marketing investments across online and offline channels.
• Oversee owned DTC platforms (e.g., Shopify, Magento) and ensure consistent product content, pricing, and availability across ecommerce and retail partners.
• Expand product placement, share of shelf, and category leadership in modern trade outlets.
• Execute consumer promotions, product launches, sampling, and in-store activation programs.
• Ensure planogram compliance, merchandising, and in-store execution quality.\
• Deliver sales targets across ecommerce and modern trade channels (monthly, quarterly, annually).
• Monitor performance of SKUs and channels, and implement corrective actions where needed.
• Drive growth in both online conversion rates and offline sell-through.
• Collaborate with marketing for omnichannel campaigns, digital media (SEO/SEM, social, email), and in-store branding initiatives.
• Lead influencer and performance marketing campaigns to drive ecommerce traffic and conversions.
• Work with retail and ecommerce partners for brand visibility and promotional placements.
• Coordinate with supply chain for inventory accuracy, order fulfillment, and demand forecasting.
• Ensure timely deliveries and stock replenishment across online and modern trade partners.
• Analyze sales, traffic, inventory, ROI on promotions, and customer behavior across channels.
• Use data insights to improve user experience, optimize product positioning, and increase customer retention.
• Monitor competitor activities, pricing, schemes, and consumer trends to stay ahead in the market.’
