Job Description

The Duty Manager is responsible for the overall operation of the multiplex during their assigned shift. This includes managing the team, ensuring excellent customer service, overseeing daily operations (box office, concessions, auditorium management, etc.), handling customer issues, and ensuring safety and cleanliness standards are upheld.

Key Responsibilities:1. Operational Management

  • Oversee daily operations across all departments (Box Office, Concessions, Housekeeping, and Projection).
  • Ensure all showtimes are running on schedule.
  • Monitor auditorium conditions (cleanliness, lighting, sound, air conditioning).
  • Coordinate with projection team for technical issues.

2. Customer Service

  • Resolve customer complaints efficiently and professionally.
  • Ensure guests have a seamless and enjoyable experience.
  • Supervise the ticketing and food counters for service quality.

3. Staff Supervision

  • Lead and supervise front-of-house staff (ushers, cashiers, snack counter attendants, etc.).
  • Conduct shift briefings and allocate duties.
  • Ensure grooming and conduct standards are maintained.

4. Cash & Inventory Management

  • Manage shift-wise cash handling and reconciliation.
  • Monitor sales at food counters and ticket counters.
  • Assist in inventory control and daily stock checks for F&B.

5. Health, Safety & Compliance

  • Enforce fire safety, evacuation drills, and hygiene protocols.
  • Ensure compliance with cinema policies, company SOPs, and legal requirements.
  • Report and act on any hazards or safety breaches.

Key Skills & Qualifications:

  • Education: Graduate in Hospitality, Business, or related field preferred.
  • Experience: 1–3 years in a similar role (hospitality, retail, cinema, or entertainment industry).
  • Skills:
  • Strong leadership and interpersonal skills.
  • Customer-first attitude.
  • Problem-solving under pressure.
  • Team management and delegation.
  • Basic computer and POS system proficiency.

Working Conditions:

  • Rotational shifts including weekends, evenings, and holidays.
  • Fast-paced, customer-facing environment.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: ₹20,000.06 - ₹40,000.48 per month
