Role Summary

The Dispatch Engineer will oversee the planning, coordination, and execution of material dispatch activities for PEB projects from the Delhi location. The role requires close collaboration with production, quality, and logistics teams to ensure on-time delivery of components to project sites while maintaining accuracy, safety, and compliance.

Key Responsibilities

1. Dispatch Planning & Coordination

  • Prepare dispatch schedules based on project timelines and client requirements.
  • Coordinate with production and quality teams to ensure readiness of materials for dispatch.
  • Plan loading sequences to optimize space utilization and avoid material damage.

2. Documentation & Compliance

  • Prepare and verify dispatch documents such as delivery challans, packing lists, and invoices.
  • Ensure all dispatches comply with company standards, client specifications, and statutory requirements.
  • Maintain accurate records of dispatches for tracking and audits.

3. Material Handling & Quality Assurance

  • Supervise loading activities to ensure proper handling and securing of PEB components.
  • Verify material quantities and quality before dispatch.
  • Report any shortages, damages, or deviations to management.

4. Coordination with Transport & Site Teams

  • Liaise with transport vendors for vehicle availability and timely delivery.
  • Coordinate with site teams to confirm receipt of materials and resolve issues.
  • Track shipments and provide updates to internal and external stakeholders.

5. Safety & Compliance

  • Ensure all dispatch operations follow safety guidelines.
  • Monitor the use of PPE and safe handling practices during loading.
  • Maintain a clean and organized dispatch area.

Skills & Competencies

  • Knowledge of PEB components, packaging, and handling requirements.
  • Strong planning and coordination skills.
  • Familiarity with ERP systems and dispatch documentation.
  • Good communication and problem-solving skills.
  • Attention to detail and ability to work under tight deadlines.

Qualifications & Experience

  • Diploma/Degree in Mechanical / Civil Engineering or related field.
  • 3–5 years of experience in dispatch/logistics, preferably in PEB or steel fabrication industry.
  • Proficient in MS Office and inventory/logistics management software.
  • Knowledge of transport regulations and safety standards.
