Director – Technology Consulting (IT for Infrastructure Business)

Role Overview:

We are seeking a seasoned Director – Technology Consulting to lead IT strategy and solution delivery for clients in the Infrastructure sector, including utilities, smart cities, energy, and transportation. This leadership role demands deep expertise in automation, digitalization, analytics, cybersecurity, ERP systems, AI/ML, smart metering and other emerging technologies, along with a proven track record of driving digital transformation and large-scale technology programs in mission-critical environments. The ideal candidate will be a strategic thinker, trusted advisor, and hands-on leader capable of bridging business needs with advanced IT solutions.

Key Responsibilities:

Strategic Leadership & Client Advisory:

• Lead IT consulting engagements for infrastructure-focused clients in areas of automation, digitalization, analytics, cybersecurity, ERP systems, AI/ML, smart metering and other emerging technologies.
• Define and drive the technology roadmap, aligning with client objectives, regulatory compliance, and emerging industry trends.
• Serve as a trusted advisor to CXOs and senior stakeholders, offering strategic insights and actionable recommendations.
• Represent the organization at industry forums, client briefings, and steering committees.
• Develop business, plan execution, lead deliveries and grow the portfolio.

Solution Design & Delivery Oversight:

• Provide architectural oversight for complex, multi-technology solutions across infrastructure domains.
• Drive solution design and execution excellence across different technology domains.
• Ensure seamless integration of technology environments with high standards of security, resilience, and scalability.

Team & Stakeholder Management:

• Build and mentor a high-performing team of solution architects, domain consultants, and delivery leads.
• Collaborate cross-functionally with internal practices (e.g., cloud, analytics, cybersecurity) and ecosystem partners.
• Oversee project governance, risk management, and stakeholder communication across multiple engagements.

Required Skills & Experience:

• 12–18 years of progressive experience in IT consulting, with at least 5 years in a leadership role in the infrastructure/utilities domain.
• Strong domain understanding of energy infrastructure, utilities, smart grids, or public sector digital initiatives.
• Demonstrated experience leading automation, digitalization, analytics, cybersecurity, ERP systems, AI/ML, smart metering and other emerging technologies including end-to-end implementation and transformation programs.
• Hands-on leadership in Smart Metering/AMI projects, including protocols, platform integration, and data management.
• Strong understanding of IT/OT convergence, SCADA systems, and critical infrastructure security frameworks.
• Proven success in managing multimillion-dollar programs and cross-functional delivery teams.
• Established senior level relationships and ability to leverage business relationships.
