Director Placements & Corporate Relations

A leading multidisciplinary university in the Delhi–NCR region is seeking a dynamic and visionary Placement Director to spearhead its campus recruitment and industry engagement initiatives. The role demands strategic leadership in strengthening corporate linkages, enhancing student employability, and driving successful placements across all academic disciplines.

The Placement Director will be responsible for strategic leadership in various areas to enhance the university's placement initiatives.

Responsibilities

Strategic Leadership & Planning

• Develop and implement an annual placement strategy and roadmap aligned with institutional objectives.
• Design initiatives to enhance placement rates, recruiter diversity, and employment quality.
• Establish key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure success and continuously improve student employability.

Industry Interface & Corporate Relations

• Build and maintain strong relationships with leading companies, industry associations, and professional bodies.
• Organize corporate visits, industry conclaves, and campus recruitment drives across sectors.
• Collaborate with employers to understand evolving talent needs and align academic and training programs accordingly.

Student Training & Career Development

• Oversee employability enhancement programs focusing on soft skills, aptitude, resume writing, group discussions, and interview preparation.
• Conduct career guidance workshops, mentorship programs, and alumni interaction sessions.
• Partner with faculty to integrate industry-relevant competencies into academic curricula.

Placement Operations Management

• Supervise all campus recruitment activities, including pre-placement talks, interviews, and offer management.
• Maintain an updated placement database and generate periodic reports for senior leadership.
• Ensure seamless coordination between students, departments, and recruiting partners.

Branding & Outreach

• Position the university as a preferred talent destination for top recruiters.
• Lead the creation of placement brochures, digital campaigns, and corporate engagement materials.
• Represent the institution at HR summits, job fairs, and industry consortiums.

Team Leadership

• Mentor and manage the Training & Placement Cell team, departmental coordinators, and student placement volunteers.
• Foster a culture of accountability, innovation, and continuous improvement within the placement ecosystem.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in Management, Engineering, Education, or a related discipline from a reputed institution (Ph.D. preferred).
• Minimum 15 years of relevant experience in campus placements, corporate relations — preferably in a leading higher education institution.
• Proven track record in building corporate partnerships and delivering strong placement outcomes.
• Strong understanding of emerging industry trends, skill requirements, and recruitment best practices.
