Director of Design

As a Director of Design at Sense, you will play a crucial role in developing and growing the product design organization. Your responsibilities will cover the full design process for Sense's suite of products, which includes Sense AI Recruiter, Workflows, Voice AI, Chatbot, Talent Intelligence, and CRM. Key Responsibilities: - Lead, mentor, and support a group of talented product designers to ensure that the products meet customer needs and maintain the highest quality standards. - Take a hands-on approach in leading and executing critical projects alongside your team. - Collaborate with Engineering, Product, and Design team leads to develop the vision, strategy, and operations of your initiatives, focusing on user-centered design. - Define and expand the design department by recruiting and representing design across the organization, establishing processes for scaling across different offices. - Work closely with founders and leadership to define the next phase of company growth. - Oversee Sense brand activities by interacting with the marketing teams. - Build strong relationships with your team by fostering a positive environment that encourages open communication, constructive criticism, and innovative contributions. - Become an expert on Sense customers to better understand their needs and preferences. Qualifications Required: - 10+ years of experience with at least 4 years in a leadership role. - Strong track record of managing and mentoring senior-level designers while shaping team management practices. - Experience in complex enterprise and SaaS products, with a bonus for background in HR and Recruiting Tech. - Proven ability to manage, hire designers, and build out a design team across disciplines. - Demonstrable experience working on complex products that have made a significant business impact. - Strong grounding in UX product design and solid visual skills to manage end-to-end design at Sense.
