About the Role:

The Director of Leadership Development is responsible for designing, implementing, and overseeing comprehensiveBehavioral leadership development strategies and programs that build leadership capability at all levels of the organization, beginning at the grassroot level. This role builds and maintains strategic partnerships with senior executives, HR business partners, and other stakeholders to identify leadership needs, develop high-potential talent, and foster a culture of continuous learning and growth. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in developing Leadership capabilities grass-root level up, i.e Individual contributor, Managerial and leadership capabilities, driving organizational change, and enhancing employee performance through innovative learning strategies

Key Responsibilities:

Strategy & Program Design:

  • Develop and execute the organization’s holistic behavioral and leadership development strategy aligned with business and organizational goals and values.
  • Design and deliver innovative learning programs, workshops, and interventions focused on behavioral competencies, emotional intelligence, and leadership skills. The programs to potentially including executive coaching, mentoring, succession planning, and high-potential programs, as needed.
  • Evaluate and enhance existing programs to ensure relevance and effectiveness, leveraging the Organizational data (Competency assessments, etc) to enable decision making accordingly.
  • Stay abreast of Industry best practices and emerging trends in leadership development and integrate them into programs.

Stakeholder Management:

  • Collaborate with Senior leaders (as priority), business and function heads, and CPE Business partners to identify leadership and behavioral skill gaps, to assess leadership capability gaps and future needs.
  • Relevant and meaningful programs to be designed and implemented accordingly.
  • Serve as a trusted advisor to business units on talent development and succession planning.

Program Delivery & Facilitation:

  • Oversee and facilitate high-impact learning sessions, leadership workshops, and coaching interventions for employees at all levels, including workshops, seminars, e-learning, and experiential learning.
  • Oversee the selection and management of external vendors, trainers, and consultants.
  • Continued focus on contributing to EBIDTA through innovative initiatives and process efficiencies o Facilitate or co-facilitate key leadership programs as needed

Talent Assessment & Succession Planning:

  • Implement assessment tools (e.g., 360-degree feedback, psychometric assessments) to identify development needs and measure program impact.
  • Partner with the HR Function owners for the organization’s talent review and succession planning processes.
  • Lead initiatives for high-potential identification, leadership pipeline development, and enable succession planning.
  • Mentor and coach emerging leaders and managers.

Measurement & Evaluation:

  • Establish metrics and evaluation processes to measure the effectiveness and impact of learning initiatives on business performance.
  • Track and report on key learning metrics, ROI, and behavioral change outcomes, to assess the effectiveness and impact of leadership development and other initiatives.
  • Report on program outcomes and recommend improvements.
  • Continuously assess and refine learning programs to ensure they remain relevant and aligned with evolving business strategies.

Qualifications & Experience:

  • Bachelor’s / Master’s degree in HR, Psychology, Organizational Development, or related field.
  • 12+ years of progressive experience in Learning & Development, with a focus on behavioral and leadership development, including at least 3 years in a leadership role.
  • Proven track record in designing and delivering leadership development programs in a complex, matrixed organization, at scale.
  • Certification in coaching, facilitation, or psychometric assessments (e.g., MBTI, DISC, Hogan) is preferred.
  • Strong understanding of adult learning principles, instructional design, and digital learning platforms.

Preferred Skills & Attributes

  • Certification in executive coaching or leadership development (e.g., ICF, SHRM, ATD).
  • Experience in a global or matrixed organization.
  • Demonstrated commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion in leadership development.
  • Exceptional facilitation, presentation, and communication skills with interpersonal and influencing skills.
  • Strong stakeholder management and influencing abilities.
  • Strong analytical mindset and problem-solving skills with experience in program evaluation and ROI measurement.
  • High emotional intelligence, integrity, and a passion for people development.
  • Strong coaching, and consulting skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities in a fast-paced environment.
