Your Role

We are seeking an innovative and results-driven Category Growth and Marketing Head to join our category team. This role is critical in driving the growth and market presence of the category through strategic marketing initiatives, data-driven insights, and a customer-centric approach. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in category management, pricing, merchandising, a strong understanding of digital marketing, and a proven track record of achieving growth targets in an ecommerce environment.


Key Responsibilities:

1. Strategic Growth Planning:

● Develop and implement comprehensive growth strategies to drive market share and profitability in the category.

● Identify and capitalize on market trends, consumer insights, and competitive dynamics to inform strategic decisions.

● Collaborate with the category leadership to align growth initiatives with overall company goals.


2. Marketing Strategy and Execution:

● Lead the development and execution of innovative marketing campaigns to enhance brand visibility and customer engagement.

● Work closely with the central marketing team to create integrated marketing plans that leverage various channels, including digital, social media, email, and events.

● Oversee merchandising, content creation, including product descriptions, promotional materials, and social media content.


3. Data-Driven Decision Making:

● Utilize data analytics to monitor category performance, customer behavior, and campaign effectiveness.

● Generate actionable insights from data to optimize marketing strategies and drive continuous improvement.

● Conduct regular market analysis to identify opportunities and threats, adjusting strategies accordingly.


4. Customer Focus:

● Champion a customer-centric approach in all growth and marketing activities, ensuring alignment with customer needs and preferences.

● Utilize customer feedback and insights to enhance the shopping experience and drive loyalty.

● Develop and implement strategies to improve customer retention and lifetime value.


5. Collaboration and Cross-Functional Alignment:

● Work closely with the buying team to ensure product assortment supports growth initiatives and marketing campaigns.

● Coordinate with the central sales and merchandising teams to maximize promotional impact and sales effectiveness.

● Foster strong relationships with internal stakeholders to ensure cohesive execution of category strategies.


6. Financial Management:

● Oversee the marketing budget for the category, ensuring efficient allocation of resources and achievement of financial targets.

● Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) to track the success of growth and marketing initiatives.

● Implement corrective actions to address any variances and optimize financial outcomes. What

● MBA in Marketing, Business, or a related field.

● Experience in category growth and marketing

● Proven success in driving category growth and achieving financial targets in an ecommerce environment.

● Strong understanding of in-app merchandising and digital marketing strategies and tools.

● Exceptional analytical skills and the ability to make data-driven decisions.

● Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.

● Strategic thinker with the ability to execute and deliver results.

● Deep understanding of category trends and consumer behavior.

● Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities.

● Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.

● Proficiency in using marketing and analytics software.
