Job Description: Digital Marketer (SEO, Social Media & CMS Specialist)

Position: Digital Marketer

Overview

We are looking for a proactive and detail-driven Digital Marketer who can manage a wide range of online marketing activities including SEO, social media management, basic graphic design, content optimisation, and client acquisition.The ideal candidate has hands-on experience working with CMS platforms (WordPress, Shopify, Wix), understands digital growth fundamentals, and can support both internal and client-facing marketing operations.

This role replaces a multi-skilled marketing function and requires someone who can adapt quickly, manage multiple platforms, and execute consistently.

Key Responsibilities

1. SEO & Website Optimisation (On-Page + CMS Management)

  • Implement meta titles, descriptions, header structures, schema markup, image alt text and internal linking.
  • Fix on-page issues such as missing metadata, duplicate content, indexing errors, broken links, redirect issues, and Core Web Vitals concerns.
  • Manage and update websites on:
  • WordPress (themes, plugins, page builders, SEO tools)
  • Shopify (products, collections, navigation, basic Liquid edits preferred)
  • Wix (SEO panel, site structure, page updates)
  • Upload and optimize blogs, landing pages, and media assets.

2. Social Media Management

  • Plan, schedule, and publish content across platforms such as Instagram, Facebook, LinkedIn, X, TikTok.
  • Write captions, research hashtags, and maintain a consistent brand voice.
  • Manage engagement, respond to comments/messages, and execute basic community building.
  • Make small edits to static posts, carousels, short captions, and platform-specific content variations.
  • Monitor analytics and recommend improvements for reach, engagement, and conversions.

3. Basic Graphic Design & Creative Support

  • Guide designers to design social media creatives, banners, and promotional graphics.
  • Make small edits to said graphics using:
  • Canva (must)
  • Photoshop/Illustrator (bonus)
  • Create visually consistent content based on brand style guides.
  • Support marketing campaigns with required visual assets.

4. Client Acquisition & Lead Generation

  • Execute outreach and lead-generation activities on platforms like:
  • LinkedIn
  • Facebook Groups
  • Freelancer platforms (Upwork, Fiverr, Freelancer)
  • Assist in preparing proposals, responses, and follow-ups.
  • Maintain lead-tracking sheets and ensure timely communication.

5. Digital Marketing Activities (General Growth Support)

(Included based on your prior work across conversations)

  • Keyword research, competitor analysis, SERP analysis.
  • Creating content briefs for blogs, landing pages, and social content.
  • Conducting website audits using Screaming Frog, SEMrush, Ahrefs data.
  • Assisting with email marketing setups (including HTML email audits).
  • Monitoring listings, Google Business Profile updates, and review management.
  • Supporting brand-specific projects and client industry research.

6. Reporting & Analytics

  • Use Google Search Console, Google Analytics, and SEO plugins to track performance.
  • Prepare weekly and monthly reports with insights, issues, and recommended improvements.
  • Maintain spreadsheets and project trackers accurately.

7. Coordination & Workflow Management

  • Collaborate with senior strategists and designers.
  • Execute tasks independently while maintaining quality and consistency.
  • Manage deadlines across multiple clients/projects.

Required Skills

  • Solid understanding of on-page SEO fundamentals.
  • Experience with WordPress, Shopify, and Wix.
  • Social media management experience (Instagram, LinkedIn, Facebook, X, TikTok).
  • Basic graphic design skills (Canva required).
  • Strong written communication and attention to detail.
  • Ability to manage metadata, blogs, URLs, internal linking, and indexing issues.
  • Understanding of sitemaps, robots.txt, and basic technical SEO elements.
  • Familiarity with SEO tools such as Yoast, RankMath, Screaming Frog, SEMrush/Ahrefs.

Nice-to-Have Skills

  • Basic HTML/CSS for minor fixes.
  • Experience with Elementor, Divi, WPBakery, Shopify customisations.
  • Understanding of Core Web Vitals and site speed optimisation.
  • Ability to analyse competitors, run keyword research, and prepare content outlines.
  • Experience writing proposals or managing client outreach.
  • Ability to identify technical SEO issues and communicate them clearly.
