Job Description

Job Title: Deputy General Manager (DGM) Human Resources Location : [Chakan & Bandra] Department : Human Resources Reports To : CEO Industry : Automobile Components Manufacturing (Rubber & Plastics) Job Summary : We are seeking a strategic and dynamic HR professional to lead critical people management initiatives across our group companies. The DGM HR will spearhead recruitment partnerships, drive employee engagement, strengthen performance systems, and lead strategic HR interventions including Talent Management, Employer Branding, and Manpower Planning. The role demands excellence in HR analytics, timely execution, and alignment with organizational goals. Key Responsibilities : 1. Strategic HR Initiatives : Drive and monitor the GPTW (Great Place to Work) project through a detailed Project Charter with a focus on data-based Plan vs Actual tracking . Design and execute programs to improve the Employee Net Engagement Score , including surveys, action planning, and follow-ups. 2. Talent Acquisition & Employer Branding : Establish and manage MOUs with top engineering and management colleges for a steady pipeline of fresh talent across group companies. Oversee end-to-end campus hiring processes , including pre-placement talks, assessments, interviews, and onboarding. Drive on-time recruitment for Assistant Manager & above roles with a focus on reducing Time-to-Fill and improving quality of hire . 3. Talent & Performance Management : Design and implement Talent Management programs for Hi-Potential (Hi-Po) employees , including assessments, development centers, and IDPs. Ensure monthly performance score (PMS) verification through Catalyst tool by the 15th of every month, ensuring integrity and fairness in appraisal processes. 4. Employee Engagement & Culture Building : Lead employee engagement initiatives with a structured annual calendar and periodic measurement of outcomes. Collaborate with business heads to drive cultural transformation aligned with organizational values. 5. HR Compliance & Process Excellence : Ensure adherence to manpower budgets and proactively manage staff cost control through efficient workforce planning. Collaborate with Finance & Operations to track, report, and forecast HR cost-related KPIs. Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) : College MOU sign-offs & campus recruitment conversion ratio. Recruitment TAT (Time-to-Fill) for AM & above positions. Monthly PMS completion & Catalyst data validation accuracy. GPTW Score and Employee Net Engagement Score improvement YOY. Number of Hi-Po employees with active development plans. Manpower cost variance vs budget. Qualifications : MBA / PGDM in HR or related discipline. 12+ years of experience in core HR functions, preferably in manufacturing or automotive component industries. Experience in campus recruitment strategy, performance systems, and HR analytics is essential. Exposure to digital HR platforms (Catalyst, SAP SuccessFactors, etc.) preferred.
