Job Description

TITLE: DGM Policy Accounts North India

REPORTS TO: National Head

BASE LOCATION: Delhi NCR with Extensive intra-state and inter-state travel to NHM offices, training institutes, and high-burden government facilities.

OTHER KEY RELATIONSHIPS: Engaging with Policy Decision makers, KOLs, Influencers in central &State level health Departments, PSUs, (Infection Control & NHM Strategy)

SUMMARY OF POSITION

To institutionalize Infection Control solutions by strategically aligning with Central & State health priorities under NHM, influencing PIP formulation, and engaging with key decision-makers, policy architects, and technical committees at both the central and state levels, including but not limited to NHM Directorates, SHS, DHS, DMERs NCDC, Central TB division, other bodies relevant to Infection control etc.) partial list Of proposed KOL / key accounts is appended for ready reference.

CAREER PROGRESSION

Ability to progress career & align towards leadership role of VP – Sales.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

1. Engage proactively with NHM Mission Directors, SHS CEOs, Govt Program Officers (RCH, Maternal Health, Quality Assurance, IDSP, AMR), and DHS teams, NCDC, Central TB division, etc.
2. Position COMPANY Infection Control solutions within the annual PIP proposals and ensure inclusion in the approved RoP (Record of Proceedings).3. Track infection control budget allocations under NHM, PM-ABHIM, ECRP, and other similar schemes.4. Work with flagship institutions (state medical colleges, district hospitals, AIIMS-type facilities) to establish SSMED infection control products.5. Coordinate with procurement nodal agencies (HLL, State Health Societies) to align specifications, technical justifications, and roll-out timelines.6. Advocate & Influence SOPs and tender technical specifications in sync with NABH, CGHS, and WHO IPC frameworks.7. Track state-specific PIP planning calendars and provide technical notes and justification documents for equipment inclusion.8. Conduct sensitization sessions for relevant stakeholders teams and provide data-driven presentations to support Infection Control infrastructure budgeting.9. Map and engage influencers including:• Microbiologists, Infection Control Nurses, QA consultants, NQAS/NHM assessors, • Development partners (WHO India, UNICEF, NCDC, CTD, NACO) involved in IPC, AMR, WASH programs• Engineering wings (PHE, Bio-medical infra planners)• Develop briefing notes, whitepapers, and RoP-influencing documents with infection burden data and cost-benefit arguments.• Collaborate with SSMED internal technical and regulatory teams to ensure alignment with key stakeholders.

Qualifications:

• Graduate/Postgraduate in Biotechnology, Life Sciences, Public Health, Microbiology, or Hospital Administration
• MBA (Healthcare), or Diploma in Hospital Infection Control(preferred)

Experience:

Attribute/Skill/Experience Weightage

• 7–10 years in public health business development, preferably in MICROBIOLOGY SALES / PRODUCTS (infection control equipment's exp is Must)

• Must have 70% experience in the KOLs / department list attached is a mandatory pre requisite

• Hands-on experience in NHM ecosystem, especially in working with PIPs, SHS, DHS, DMER, and health financing mechanisms

10%

• Excellent exposure of Delhi NCR & Existing HNI channel partner network.

• Should Have strong Govt. sales experience 20%

Key Competencies:

• Strong Delhi NCR & nearby states market exposure
• Relevant Experience in Infection Control is a must• Influencer engagement at senior bureaucratic and technical levels• Excellent written and verbal communication for policy dialogue• Should have handled min. 40% of our key accounts list.• Strong understanding of NHM workflows and government program architecture• Cross functional working within SSMED with cluster heads for state level projects in a time bound manner.

Key Performance Indicators (KPIs):

• Number of states with SSMED Infection Control products approved in PIP
• Value of business pipeline generated through PIP-driven demand• Number of PIP justifications submitted and accepted by relevant Bodies• Reference centers established and used in state roll-outs• Policy engagements facilitated with NHM/SHS/donor agencies under CSR.
