Job Description

We are seeking a dynamic and results-driven professional to join our team as Deputy General Manager – Institutional Sales. The ideal candidate will be responsible for driving institutional business growth, managing key client relationships, and leading a high-performing sales team. This role demands strategic thinking, deep financial acumen, and exceptional leadership capabilities to expand our institutional client base and achieve ambitious revenue targets.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute strategic sales plans to acquire and retain institutional clients across sectors.
  • Identify new business opportunities and drive revenue growth through targeted outreach and relationship management.
  • Present and promote financial products and investment solutions tailored to institutional client needs.
  • Analyze market trends, competitor offerings, and client feedback to refine sales strategies.
  • Lead, mentor, and manage a team of sales professionals to ensure high performance and goal alignment.
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders including product, marketing, and operations teams to deliver seamless client experiences.
  • Maintain accurate records of client interactions, sales activities, and pipeline status using CRM tools.
  • Prepare and deliver compelling presentations and proposals to prospective clients and senior management.
  • Monitor and report on sales metrics, forecasts, and performance against targets.
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory standards and internal policies in all client engagements.

Qualifications & Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Finance, or a related field (Master’s degree preferred).
  • Minimum [10+] years of proven experience in institutional sales or business development, preferably within the financial services industry.
  • Strong understanding of financial products, investment strategies, and capital markets.
  • Demonstrated success in building and managing relationships with institutional clients.
  • Proficiency in CRM software (e.g., Salesforce, Zoho) and MS Office Suite (Excel, PowerPoint, Word).
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
  • Strong analytical skills to interpret sales data and make informed decisions.
  • Leadership experience with the ability to inspire and manage a team effectively.
  • Results-oriented mindset with a consistent track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: ₹1,200,000.00 - ₹1,650,000.00 per year

Ability to commute/relocate:

  • Bhubaneswar, Orissa: Reliably commute or willing to relocate with an employer-provided relocation package (Required)
