Paywize is building India’s first Fintech OS — powering payouts, collections, connected banking, and bill pay infrastructure for modern businesses. Our platforms are transaction‑heavy and mission‑critical, demanding high availability, security, and scale.

Role Overview

You will own CI/CD, cloud infrastructure, observability, and deployment automation for Paywize’s fintech services. The role bridges engineering and operations to deliver secure, reliable, and performant systems.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, implement, and maintain CI/CD pipelines for reliable, traceable releases.
• Automate infra provisioning and configuration with Terraform/Ansible (or similar).
• Operate and harden cloud environments (AWS preferred; GCP/Azure a plus).
• Containerize and orchestrate services with Docker, Helm, and Kubernetes.
• Set up logging, monitoring, and alerting (Prometheus, Grafana, ELK, CloudWatch).
• Apply SRE practices for availability, incident response, and performance tuning.
• Enforce security: least‑privilege access, IAM, secrets, encryption in transit/at rest.
• Collaborate with backend/QA to streamline build → test → release workflows.
• Drive automation and cost/performance optimization; maintain IaC and runbooks.
• Support DR/HA strategies, rollback procedures, and audit‑ready documentation.

Required Skills & Qualifications

• 4+ years in DevOps/SRE roles.
• CI/CD expertise: GitHub Actions / Jenkins / GitLab CI.
• Docker, Kubernetes, Helm in production at scale.
• IaC: Terraform (or CloudFormation) with modular, reviewed code.
• Cloud: strong AWS fundamentals (EC2/EKS/ECS/RDS/IAM/S3/CloudWatch).
• Scripting: Shell/Bash and/or Python for automation and tooling.
• Observability: Prometheus/Grafana (or equivalent) and log aggregation.
• Runtime & delivery: Nginx, Node.js process management (PM2), secure API comms.
• Solid grounding in network/infrastructure security practices.

Preferred

• Fintech/payments experience; familiarity with PCI‑DSS/ISO 27001 controls.
• HA/DR patterns on AWS; cost optimization and resource tagging.
• Event‑driven architectures, queues, and secure service‑to‑service patterns.
• CI/CD for regulated environments: signed artifacts, approvals, rollbacks.
• Experience with banking APIs/payment gateways/ledger systems.
